Dane Perlee

Born and raised in Westport, WA, Dane Perlee is a 3rd generation waterman who has spent his whole life in and around the ocean. Under the tutelage of his father, Al Perlee, Dane developed his wave riding skills in the empty, chilly waters of the Northwest. In his early teens, he started building surfboards and shortly after moving to Santa Cruz in 1997 to pursue his secondary education, began shaping for Pearson Arrow Surfboards.

He enjoys designing and riding all types of watercraft, and his testing ground is his front yard, Pleasure Point. His surf travels include most of Baja, Mainland Mexico, Canada, Western U.S., Hawaii, Costa Rica, Indonesia, Panama, West Africa, and Italy. Dane's future plans include more of the same: surfing, shaping, school, travel, and smiling. He loves the life!

In 2010, Dan moved back to his old stomin’ grounds int eh state of Washington, where he is busy bringing back Osprey Surfboards, a company he started with his father in the early 1990’s while in California. He’s surfing a ton and building surfboards from start to finish.
