Kirsten Allred

Kirsten Allred is the perfect example of the California Girl. Free spirited and always with a big smile on her face, she began her love of the ocean by starting to surf at the age of 9 years old. Kirsten has always competed and excelled in a variety of sports. Surfing however, has become a major part of her life.

The sport has taken Kirsten all over the world for fun and competition. She has won numerous surf competitions both locally and around the world. She was the women's division champion in '94 & '95 of the International Rabbit Kekai Longboard Classic in Costa Rica and in 1999 she won the United States National Championships. In four years of competing in the Toes on the Nose Women's World Longboard Championships she has always been in the Top Ten while grabbing a 5th place in '99 and a 4th place finish in 2000.

More impressive than her surfing skills is her enthusiasm and zest for life. She is working towards her goal of becoming a grade school teacher and she plans to continue surfing for as long as she can. "I enjoy surfing for its benefits, both mental and physical," says Kirsten.

Kisten is teaching surf lessons through both the Toes on the Nose Laguna store and through the cities of Newport Beach & San Clemente
