Kevin Miske first started surfing in the warm waters of Pacific Beach in San Diego at the age of ten. After attending Humboldt State and earning his Teaching Credential in Industrial Technology, Kevin moved to Santa Cruz in 1987. It is in Santa Cruz that his love for and accomplishments in surfing continue to grow.

Kevin's sponsors include Toes on the Nose, Surftech, O'neill Surfshop, Redley, Smith Sunglasses, Sex Wax, and Pizza My Heart. Kevin is very enthusiastic about the results of the 10' Miske Model surfboard from Surftech that will be available by Spring 2006. Although he mostly longboards, Kevin enjoys riding whatever size surfboard is most suitable for the conditions and owns everything from shortboards to tandem boards.

Kevin has traveled all over the world to surf, including Costa Rica, Japan, Australia, and Mexico. With the O'neill Surf Academy, Kevin also got to surf and teach kids to surf in England, Belgium, Holland, Spain, France, and Italy. His most recent vacation was a four-week long surf trip to Bali. Kevin enjoys most, to surf along the California coastline, Uluwatu, Salsipuedes, and Scorpion Bay.

Kevin still lives in Santa Cruz with his family, including his wife Rebecca, his 16 year-old daughter Rhiannon, and his 11 year-old son Taylor. He teaches woodworking at Shoreline Middle School and has coached the school's surfteam, where he has had the privilege of watching many of his students progress into professional surfers. When he is not surfing, Kevin is either playing rugby or enjoying the beauty of his bamboo garden.
