Shelly is the newest addition to the Toes team. She has grown up surfing San Onofre with family and friends who have largely influenced her in surfing and life. Along with a few other Toes teamriders, she has been a regular at San Onofre for years.

In high school she excelled with first place finishes in State and NSSA Nationals. Her quiet demeanor changes tune when the surf gets big. Her progressive style is displayed in radical off the lip manuevers usually only seen in men's competitions. She is game for any sport and her cross training strength, no doubt helps out in her surfing.

She has traveled to Costa Rica, Australia and Mexico to compete in International events and took a 2nd place finish in the 2002 Toes on the Nose Women's World Championships held in Costa Rica. She is a fierce competitor and always finishes in the Top Ten of any event she enters.

She is currently taking courses at Fullerton College and plans to finish school and work in the Field of Kinesiology and the Human Body as a Physical Therapist. She is certified in CPR and this past year made the Deans List in her studies.
